Bofferding was the family name of the brothers Leo and Emil of Bascharage,Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, who founded the brewery. The brewery dates back to the late 1800's. It was one of 5 family-owned breweries in the country.(The others were Diekirch, Henri Funck, Mousel, & Simon). My Grandfather, M. Theophile Aubart, was brewmaster and President from about 1905 to 1960. It was not until the 60's that the brewery permitted pasteurization, hence allowing the beer to be exported widely.Freijoers is Luxembourgish for "early-year's" (as in early in the season).Hausbeier means "House Beer".The "BBBB" logo means "Bierre de la Brasserie Bofferding, Bascharage" (Thanks Greg)
