Name Elephant means Elephant, emphasizing the strength of the brew (Thanks Ernie)
There are 2 portal elephants that form the entrance to the Carlsberg Brewery in Copenhagen and this was reproduced on the original Beer bottle label until it was pointed out that 2 elephants where unlucky in some parts of the world. So a third elephant was placed in the middle so all was well again. They then removed the 2 portal elephants and left the main elephant. which is what we have today.
