Witkap= white hood (see the monk on the picture) the 'stimulo' part of the name is a neologism by the original brewer, suggestion the envigorating (stimulating) effect of his beer.a monk or trappist style beer, as suggested by the picture. Of course this particulat beer was never brewed by a monastery. The brewer usurped the name of a local monastery (just like Leffe for Interbrew, Grimbergen for Alken-Maes, Vieille Villers, Ciney, Floreffe and others.(Thanks Nick ) Tell us more
