"Harvey's " is the possessive of the brewery, and "Elizabethan Ale" implies a connexion to Queen Elizabeth Tudor of England, daughter of Henry VIII, granddaughter of Henry VII and great-granddaughter of Edward IV. Elizabeth Tudor ruled in the late 16th century. The "Elizabethan Period" is seen nostalgically by the English. Originally brewed to mark the Queen's Coronation in 1953.
