The name "Island Lager" refers to that the Granville Island Brewery is situated on Granville Island in False Creek, Vancouver British Columbia, Canada. If I'm not mistaken it was one of the first brews they had to offer when they started out a few years ago. Nowadays Granville Island Brewery is longer an independent brewery and they only brew a few specialty beers on the island most notably a quite tasty Bock, the bulk of their brewing is done in the Okanagan area of B.C.. the photo of the bottle on KBS web site is woefully out of date, they haven't used this in at least five years.(Thanks John)
