This beer is brewed by Interbrew, which is biggest brewerygroup in Belgium.
Brewery started brewing 1366 in Leuve. Up to year 1995 Leffe was brewed in
St Guibertn brewery.
Leffe monestery was found in 1152 and it is located 70 km south from Brugs.(in Namur)
Microbrewing started there 13th century and most of brewery buildning
have been made in 18th century.
Leffe monestery was first monestery which give licences to made beer
outside of monestery. This happened in begin of 1950.
That licence was given to local brewery and it made all the beer, no
beer was made in monstery.
Leffe Blonde is top-fragmentation beer and ale and its called as
abbey/abdij/abbaye beer.
